Qt Eclipse Integration

Dear LazyWeb,

Is the source for Trolltech's Qt Eclipse Integration available, or at least an x86_64 build? If not, anyone know of any plans to change this?

You could use KDevelop instead. It's faster than eclipse.

No answer from Trolltech

I asked that same question a couple of weeks ago in the qt-preview-feedback mailing list but noone answered.

I have the Eclipse plugins installed, but all they do is crash eclipse whenever I try to use them. Only for Jambi that is.

You can run Qt Eclipse in 64bit

You can run Eclipse Qt in 64bit Linux. Though you would need a 32bit java installed and a few other 32bit libraries (experience from Kubuntu 7.10). One thing that will not work is debugging. :( It never crashed on me, but I decided to use external Designer as it is much snappier then the one embedded into Eclipse SWT. Otherwise works great and is a neat way of managing growing project without manually editing .pro files all the time.

There's also a 64-bit eclipse, which is what I'd like to use - if a 32-bit java is needed that would explain why it kept on crashing for me (it really shouldn't be though...)
